Yesterday marks week 6 sitting with our open court case.
How much longer will this drag on?
Some people with open cases have been lucky enough to have received a new court date, but so far I have not heard anything. Used to be an open date was considered a good thing, now with the huge amount of them and all agencies vying for a slot each Wed., it is not.
We have been incredibly blessed, in the middle of all this frustration, to finally receive news and pictures of the boys.
I came across a blog not too long ago and noticed that the person was traveling to pick up her daughter at the same orphanage my boys were at. I left her a comment telling her about my boys and thought that maybe, if I was really lucky, she might have a picture or two with them in the background.
I was brought to tears when she emailed me not one or two, but 15 pictures!!
It is so amazing to see them playing, sleeping, eating etc... they are absolutely adorable!
I am so grateful to her kindness and for loving my boys while she was there!
We also heard the news that the boys are now in our agency's home. This is great news because they will be better cared for and we should be able to hear updates and pictures from time to time from traveling families.
We continue to wait upon the Lord... we pray not our will, but His be done, whatever and whenever that may be!
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Isaiah 64:4
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him.
Isaiah 30:18
But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings as eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah40:31

oh jenni, i had been checking back for awhile but then have been out of town. I am so sorry that still nothing on court. We have not reached that point yet, so I can only imagine how hard this must be. I will continue to pray. How old are your boys? So so wonderful that you were able to get pictures! What a gift from God in this time. You, too have a beautiful family! I love the picture you have as your header, what precious little ones.
Have been praying for you and your boys.... praise God you got to see so many great pictures! Will keep meeting you at the throne. Love your precious family... how wonderful for any child to be able to be a Gingerich! I hope and pray they will be soon...
